TRCMPU announces cattle feed subsidy of Rs 100 per bag

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 01: Trivandrum Regional Co-operative Milk Producers Union (TRCMPU) has announced a subsidy of Rs 100 per bag on various brands of Milma cattle feed, as a relief to dairy farmers hit by hike in cattle feed price in the open market following sharp increase in raw material cost.

The subsidy will be available from November 1 for dairy farmers supplying milk to co-operative societies affiliated to TRCMPU.

The decision was taken by the TRCMPU Administrative Committee, in light of the hike in prices of Milma and KFL cattle feed due to increase in raw material cost, its convener Shri N Bhasurangan said.

Dairy farmers in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha will benefit from the subsidy.
