Trivandrum / October 9, 2026
Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 9: The two-day International Life Sciences Industries Expo and Conclave, Bio Connect 4.0, concluded here on Friday, laying the road map for Keralam to emerge as a promising hub in life sciences streams and bio-medical industry, with a sustainable ecosystem in place to scale up research and innovation.
The conclave, organised by Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), saw exchange of three MoUs and four Expressions of Interest (EoIs) by leading players in the domain with a total investment value of Rs. 713 crores.
These include Bharat Biome Life Sciences Pvt Ltd, Central public sector enterprises Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB) and HLL Lifecare Limited, In.Vent India Diagnostica Pvt Ltd, Aqua Nova Biosystems Pvt ltd, Medgrow Bio Life Solutions Pvt Ltd and Foot Pro Solutions Pvt Ltd.
Over the two days, experts and industry stakeholders attending the conclave extensively discussed Keralam’s potential in a range of verticals, such as science, artificial intelligence, advanced therapies, nutraceuticals, next-gen biologics, investment and innovation, said Shri Snehil Kumar Singh, Managing Director of the KSIDC, in his welcome speech at the valedictory function.
Bio Connect 4.0 brought together more than 600 delegates and over 45 exhibitors, creating a vibrant platform for science, industry, and investment.
“Our ambition is not merely to attract investment. It is to create an ecosystem where investment produces innovation, innovation creates companies, and companies create jobs, technologies, and solutions for society,” said Shri Snehil Kumar Singh.
Over the two days, one message has been particularly clear, he said. “Keralam must move beyond manufacturing. We must strengthen the entire value chain from research and development to validation, commercialisation and global markets,” he added.
“Through Bio360 Life Sciences Park, investment facilitation and initiatives such as SARAL Kerala, our objective is to make Keralam a more attractive place to develop, manufacture, and scale life-science products,” Shri Snehil Kumar Singh said, urging delegates not let the connections made here end with the conference.
“We want to create an environment where the next globally recognised life-sciences company can emerge from Keralam, not by chance, but because we deliberately built the right ecosystem for it,” he added.
Dr C.N. Ramachand, Director, Kerala Life Sciences Industries Parks (KLIP) & CEO of MagGenome Technologies, summarised the deliberations and key take-aways from the sessions over the two days.
Shri C. Padmakumar, Director, KLIP & Special Officer, Kerala Medical Technology Consortium, also addressed the audience.
Shri Santhosh Koshy Thomas, Director, Kerala Life Sciences Industries Park & Managing Director, KINFRA, offered felicitation.
