Milma Ernakulam regional union announces annual awards

KOCHI, Sept 24: Milma’s Ernakulam Regional Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (ERCMPU) has announced its annual awards for model societies, best bulk milk cooler units, societies maintaining milk quality, model dairy farmers, dealers and
cooperatives.

ERCMPU has 950 member societies across Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam and Thrissur districts affiliated to it.

The awards will be presented by ERCMPU chairman C.N. Valsalan Pillai at the union’s 40th annual general meeting to be held at the Perumbavoor Municipal Town Hall on Saturday (September 26).

Maneed APCOS in Ernakulam, Anandapuram APCOS in Thrissur, Puthuvely APCOS in Kottayam and Irumpupalam APCOS in Idukki have been selected as the model societies in four districts.

The awards for the best bulk milk cooler units will go to Kalloorkad APCOS in Ernakulam, Moonnumuri APCOS in Thrissur, Champakara APCOS in Kottayam and Machiplavu APCOS in Idukki.

Valluvally APCOS in Ernakulam, Mayannur APCOS in Thrissur, Thalayolaparambu APCOS in Kottayam and Thattakuzha APCOS in Idukki have been selected for awards for supplying milk of the best quality.

The Ksheeramithra awards for model farmers will be presented to Annie Aby of Chelakkulam APCOS in Ernakulam, Beena Justin of Mannamangalam APCOS in Thrissur, Bijumon Thomas of Kuriyanad APCOS in Kottayam and Jins Kurien of
Kambammettu APCOS in Idukki.

 The Ksheeramithra awards for small-scale farmers will go to Thankachan T.P. of Manakkattumattam APCOS in Ernakulam, Rathnavalli of Poolani APCOS in Thrissur, Blessan E. Kurian of Velloor APCOS in Kottayam and Jincy Sijo of Karimpan APCOS in Idukki.

The Milma Mithra awards for institutions that have performed well in the marketing sector will be presented to Guruvayur Devaswom and AIMS Ernakulam, along with Vinayak Caterers. Special awards will be presented to Cochin Shipyard and BPCL. Soubhagya Agency, Kottayam, has been selected for the Best Distributor award. The dealer awards will be presented to K.C. Chandrasekharan of Ernakulam, P.K. Purushothaman of Kottayam, K.T. Radhakrishnan of Thrissur and Radhika of Idukki. Abdul Rahim has been selected for the Milma Shoppe General category award, while Anandapuram APCOS has been selected for the APCOS Shoppe category. Encouragement awards will also be presented to various member societies.
