AI-based app redefines services at KTM 2026

Kochi / September 26, 2026

Kochi, Sept. 26: A comprehensive, dedicated AI-powered app developed for the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM 2026) has elevated the buyer experience, making business-to-business (B2B) meetings and other programmes smooth across both days since the opening.

Developed by Kochi-based startup SPRDH Solutions, the KTM app, which also works offline, provided an immaculate experience for buyers as its features ensured a string of foolproof services ranging from covering meetings with a few footsteps, travel matters, to finding a stall in a jiffy.

The B2B meetings and exhibition, part of the September 24-27 event, were held at the Sagara and Samudrika Convention Centres on Willingdon Island.

"During KTM’s last edition, if the buyers had one meeting in Hall A, the next meeting would be in Hall E. Then they had to come back to Hall A again. By the end of a day, they would walk nearly 10 to 15 kilometres. That was a major issue,” said Mr Saalim Bin Ali, Founder and CEO, SPRDH Solutions, which has been registered under Kerala Startup Mission.

Mr Saalim said they developed an AI algorithm to optimise and cover buyers’ selected meetings within minimal distance.

The startup also introduced a new feature, ‘Pathfinder,’ in the app. These features were integrated into the KTM app and the portal.

“One of the main new features in the app is an AI Chatbot. It lets users ask questions just like ChatGPT. They can ask in any language, including Malayalam or their native language, and it automatically replies with details like meeting times, stall locations, or accommodation details. They don't need to call a call centre for anything, and there’s no need for even sending any e-mails,” explained Mr Saalim.

The Pathfinder in the app also functions like Google Maps, providing exact turn-by-turn navigation from the current location to the destination, including routes to the nearest restrooms.

The SPRDH Solutions team started the app process in January this year, beginning with seller registrations, buyer registrations, stall auctions, and approvals.

“Regarding the meeting schedule, we had noticed a loophole where sellers shared static QR code images. Buyers would take screenshots of QR codes and send them in group chats, and leave the venue early while others scanned them later. To prevent this, we introduced Dynamic QR Codes,” Mr Saalim said.

A dynamic QR code is valid for only 30 seconds and refreshes continuously on the phone screen. Since it cannot be saved as a static image, the person must be physically present at the venue to scan it. “We also track entry and exit scans to confirm if a participant was inside during the meeting duration,” he added.

The company also has provided an end-t-end technology solution by developing the website and portal of KTM 2026. Through the portal, users can submit EOI (Expression of Interest) requests, buyer requests, receive approvals, get confirmations, access tickets, manage accommodation details, download passes, and complete all related tasks.

Once on-site, the mobile app becomes the most convenient tool for managing and scheduling meetings.

Founded in 2012, the startup shifted its core focus to event-based software around 2020. It has provided complete end-to-end event management platforms, including portal, website, and mobile app integration for major events like KTM and ICC (Indian Chemical Council) in Mumbai.
