International Cyber Women’s Day seminar held at Government Cyberpark

Kozhikode, Sept 01: Government Cyberpark today observed International Cyber Women’s Day to recognise the contributions and achievements of women in the field of cybersecurity and encourage their greater participation in the sector.
The programme was organised jointly by Wattlecorp Cybersecurity Labs and Government Cyberpark.
International Cyber Women’s Day is observed on September 1 every year. Women professionals from various companies based at Cyberpark attended the programme.
Mr Abdul Majeed, Director, IOSS, and member of the governing council of the Calicut Forum for IT (CAFIT), inaugurated the programme.
Aysha Shafna, a penetration tester (ethical hacker) at Wattlecorp Cybersecurity Labs, conducted a special session on ‘Women in Cybersecurity’. The session discussed the growing participation of women in cybersecurity, career opportunities in the sector and the challenges faced by women professionals.
K. Karthik, Founder and Director, Wattlecorp Cybersecurity Labs, and Vice-President, CAFIT, highlighted the need to encourage more women to pursue careers in cybersecurity and create greater opportunities for their participation in the sector.
