KTM Society, Kochi City Police hold meeting on drug-free Kochi and responsible tourism

Kochi, Aug 20: The Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) Society, Kochi City Police and various organisations in the tourism sector today jointly organised a meeting to ensure a safe city, a drug-free Kochi and responsible nightlife.
Kochi City Police Commissioner S. Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar inaugurated the meeting.
A safe environment is essential for the sustainable growth of the tourism sector, the Commissioner said.
“The police and stakeholders in the tourism sector need to work together to make Kochi drug-free and ensure a safe nightlife for tourists and the public alike. The full cooperation of all stakeholders would be ensured in the fight against drug abuse while promoting responsible tourism,” he added.
He also lauded the KTM Society for taking the initiative on the issue.
The meeting was organised at the initiative of KTM President Jose Pradeep.
KTM President Jose Pradeep, FKHA Secretary Ajith C. Nair, Deputy Commissioners of Police Arun K. Pavithran and Aswathy Jiji, and AACHK President K. J. Joseph were present on the dais.
Representatives and members of various associations also attended the meeting.
