Government Cyberpark holds colourful Onam celebrations

Kozhikode, Aug 25: The Government Cyberpark campus here came alive with vibrant Onam celebrations, with employees and companies from across the campus joining the festivities.

The celebrations, featuring a mix of traditional and cultural programmes, were inaugurated by Cyberpark Chief Operating Officer Vivek Nair.

The employees were divided into four squads for the various competitions, with the release of four differently coloured balloons marking the beginning of Aaravam 2026.

The athapookalam competition, with teams representing different IT companies, Thiruvathirakali, chendamelam and the ceremonial arrival of Maveli, were the highlights of the celebrations.

Traditional games and competitions, including tug-of-war, uriadi and pottukuthal , drew enthusiastic participation from the employees.

A special competition organised by Red FM was also held as part of the celebrations.

The celebrations included an elaborate Onam feast, which was attended by representatives of various companies and Cyberpark officials.

The event was followed by the presentation of prizes to the winners of the various competitions and a cultural evening.
