Government Cyberpark to join human chain against drug abuse on Aug 13

Kozhikode, Aug 11: Government Cyberpark will join hands with the Calicut IT community in forming a human chain against drug abuse on August 13 as part of the Operation Toofan, an initiative supporting the Kerala government’s efforts to make a drug-free state.
The human chain will be held at 4.30 pm on Thursday at the Government Cyberpark and UL Cyberpark premises at Nellikode, Kozhikode. The programme will be flagged off by A.P. Shoukathali, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Kozhikode City.
The programme is being organised by the Calicut Forum for IT (CAFIT) in association with Government Cyberpark, UL Cyberpark and HiLite Business Park
The initiative is aimed at raising awareness about drug abuse and encouraging collective action to address the issue.
Participants will form a human chain and take a pledge against drug abuse, conveying the message “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life.”All participants will also receive a digital certificate in recognition of their participation in the programme.
IT professionals, students, volunteers and members of the public have been invited to participate in the programme.
