Technopark celebrates 80th Independence Day

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 15: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated by Technopark here with executives, employees and IT fraternity assembling to salute the national flag and pledging themselves to work hard to contribute more for the growth of nation.

Shri Sandip Kumar IAS, CEO Technopark, hoisted the national flag at the Park Centre, Phase I campus, in the presence of Park Centre officials, Security Guards & SISF personnel, Operations & Maintenance team, the support staff, as well as IT professionals working at the park.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Sandip Kumar said India has attained significant growth since Independence, in terms of food security, military power and technology.

The CEO said Technopark has played a critical role for the development of technology and IT sector in the country as well as Kerala.

“As India’s first IT park, Technopark has inspired to start many technology/IT parks in the country, which has resulted in contributing to the country’s IT exports---a core driving force of our economy. We have to reassess our roles, reinvent and rethink how to leverage opportunities in Technopark,” Shri Sandip Kumar noted.

Smt. Praseetha KC, Registrar; Shri Madhavan Praveen (CTO) and Shri Vasanth Varada, Deputy Vice President (Marketing & Customer Relationship), also attended. 

Earlier, the flag hoisting at Phase IV campus was done by Smt. Praseetha KC and at Phase III campus by Shri Madhavan Praveen.
