H&R Block clinches Technopark Premier League 2026 title; Infosys crowned women’s champions

Thiruvananthapuram, July 17: H&R Block has emerged as champions of the Favourite Homes Technopark Premier League (TPL) 2026, while Infosys lifted the Technopark Women’s Cricket League (TWCL) 2026 trophy at the grand finale held at the Technopark Cricket Ground here.

The six-month-long cricket extravaganza, powered by Prathidhwani – the welfare organisation of IT Employees, concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony attended by hundreds of IT professionals.

In the men's final, H&R Block defeated UST to lift the TPL 2026 championship. In the Women's Cricket League final, Infosys overcame UST to secure the title.

The valedictory function was inaugurated by Shri Sandip Kumar, IAS, CEO, Technopark. Indian cricketer Ms Sajana Sajeevan attended as the Guest of Honour and, along with the Chief Guest, presented the trophies and awards to the winning teams and outstanding performers. Farvin Muhammed (AGM), Mary Leena (Senior Manager), and Rajeev Kumar (Senior Manager) from Favourite Homes, the title sponsor, also graced the occasion.

The function was presided over by TPL Convenor Shri Vipinraj Aniyath, while TPL General Convenor Shri Sajith Dev welcomed the gathering.

 

Assistant Vice President (Administration & Industrial Relations), Technopark, Shri Abhilash D S; Prathidhwani State Convenor Shri Rajeev Krishnan; President Shri Vishnu Rajendran; Secretary Shri Vineeth Chandran; Sports Forum Convenor Shri Rajith V.P; and Zeetius CEO Shri Krishnakumar were among the dignitaries present.

The 2026 edition of the tournament witnessed unprecedented participation, with 174 men's teams and 24 women's teams competing in more than 300 matches over six months. Recognised as one of the largest cricket tournaments in the IT sector, the league brought together thousands of IT professionals from across Technopark, celebrating sporting excellence, teamwork, and camaraderie while reinforcing the spirit of community.

Since its first edition in 2001, TPL has become the country's largest IT-sector sporting event due to the overwhelming participation of teams from IT companies in Technopark, India’s first IT Park.
