No lapse in delivery of Ghee to Sabarimala Temple: Milma’s TRCMPU

Trivandrum / June 4, 2026

Thiruvananthapuram, June 04: Thiruvananthapuram Regional Cooperative Milk Producers Union (TRCMPU) today said there was no lapse on the part of Milma in delivery of ghee to Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha Temple during the Mandala Pooja season in 2025.

Milma’s Pathanamthitta Dairy had strictly followed all due procedures and quality parameters in delivery of ghee to the temple in required quantity as per the contract.

The Pathanamthitta Dairy authorities had received confirmation from temple authorities on this and the accounts had been settled accordingly.

As a cooperative network committed for the prosperity and welfare of dairy farmers, Milma considered the contract it entered into with Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) for supply of ghee to Sabarimala Temple as a major achievement.

It is unfortunate that attempts are being made by certain quarters to cast shadow on this achievement and discourage TRCMPU from further engagements of similar nature by spreading rumors.

While strongly condemning such misleading attempts, TRCMPU seeks the support of all sections of society for carrying forward with activities that will bring benefit to the farmers and the society as a whole.

Milma has a strong reputation as a dairy cooperative network that procures milk from dairy farmers and supply it to consumers as processed milk and dairy products. The profit generated from this process is passed back to farmers themselves.

In the last financial year, TRCMPU transferred around Rs 19 crore to farmers as price incentive. Besides, around Rs 25 crore was spent on various welfare schemes for farmers.

This financial year, TRCMPU has envisaged schemes worth Rs 30 crore for the benefit of farmers.
