Thiruvananthapuram, June 05: In a major boost for Kerala's fast-growing deep-tech ecosystem, India’s leading robotics company Genrobotic Innovations Pvt Ltd has led a ₹1 crore seed funding round for Estro Tech Robotics, a startup specialising in Robotics, AIoT.

The funding establishes a strategic collaboration that combines Genrobotics' expertise in advanced robotics and technology commercialisation with Estro Tech's capabilities in AIoT, automation, and intelligent systems.

The investment marks a milestone in the state's innovation journey, highlighting how successful startups are beginning to nurture and support the next generation of technology entrepreneurs.

Shri Anoop Ambika, CEO, Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), said "this investment reflects the growing maturity of Kerala's startup ecosystem, where successful entrepreneurs are beginning to support the next generation of innovators.”

Collaborations such as this strengthen the state's deep-tech ecosystem by enabling startups to access not only capital but also industry expertise, mentorship, and market opportunities, he added.

The newly raised capital will support Estro Tech in the development and commercialisation of next-generation infrastructure technologies designed to address critical challenges in utility and urban infrastructure management.

The partnership is expected to provide product development guidance, market access, and strategic mentorship as Estro Tech expands into critical infrastructure technology solutions.

Estro Tech Robotics is a deep-tech startup developing Robotics AIoT solutions, founded in 2020 by engineering graduates Christo Varghese, Christo Kollannur, Rahul Vincent and Bonsto Wilson.

The company initially gained recognition for developing India's first UV Sterilising Robot and later expanded into the retail technology sector with RobAd, India's first interactive robotic in-store advertising platform. Combining robotics, motion, light, sound, and AI-powered analytics, RobAd enabled brands to engage shoppers in real time while generating valuable consumer insights.

Estro Tech now works with leading FMCG brands and retailers across major Indian cities and has established distribution partnerships in international markets, including Nigeria, Botswana, Qatar, and South Korea.

Headquartered in Thrissur and operating from Infopark Koratty, Estro Tech has emerged from Kerala's vibrant startup ecosystem, leveraging its expertise in Robotics, AIoT to build commercially scalable technology products.

Having successfully deployed solutions across the retail sector, the company is now expanding its focus toward critical infrastructure technologies aimed at improving the monitoring and management of underground utility networks and urban infrastructure assets.

Shri Christo Varghese, Co-founder of Estro Tech Robotics, said "Estro Tech Robotics has always focused on building technology solutions that solve real-world challenges.”

Shri Vimal Govind M K, CEO of Genrobotics, said, "when Genrobotics started its journey, Kerala's startup ecosystem played a crucial role in helping us transform ambitious ideas into globally recognised technologies. Today, we see it as our responsibility to support the next generation of deep-tech innovators emerging from the same ecosystem.”

With the capital infusion, Estro Tech plans to develop advanced world class inspection robotics capable of navigating and assessing underground networks, AI-powered sewer line monitoring systems for continuous monitoring with predictive intelligence platforms that can identify anomalies, forecast maintenance requirements, and improve operational efficiency of the utilities. The company will also continue scaling its RobAd platform across domestic and international markets while strengthening its research and development capabilities.
