KSUM calls application for Faculty Development Programme

Thiruvananthapuram, May 13: Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has invited applications for its five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) ‘Maker Sprint’, designed to provide an intensive, hands-on learning experience to the participants.
Starting from May 18, the programme will be conducted at Fab Lab Kerala Trivandrum, Technopark Phase I Campus here.
The programme is structured around a focused “5 tools in 5 days” approach, by offering the participants a practical exposure to key digital fabrication technologies including Laser Cutting, PCB Milling, Vinyl Cutting, 3D Printing and Wood CNC, enabling them to transform ideas into functional prototypes.
The programme is open to public, with a limited number of 15 seats.
The programme does not require prior experience in fabrication and emphasizes applied learning. The certificate will be awarded to the participants on successful completion.
Participants will get an opportunity to master modern digital fabrication tools and industry-standard design software, fuel local maker culture and drive the next generation of hardware startups and empowers students to design and develop functional, real-world physical prototypes.
It offers unrestricted hands-on training across all 5 Fab Lab machines, Logistics & Recognition, full access to industry-standard design software, all basic materials and consumables for hands-on practice, continuous technical support from Fab Lab Kerala instructors and comprehensive training materials and reference guides.
Lunch as well as tea and snacks will be provided for participants across all five training days.
