IOCOD Infotech Pvt. Ltd, eSynergy Technologies Pvt Ltd win titles in CAFIT Premier League Beach Cricket

Kozhikode, Apr 27:  IOCOD Infotech Pvt. Ltd and eSynergy Technologies Pvt Ltd were crowned champions in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively, at the CAFIT Premier League (CPL) Beach Cricket Tournament, organised by the Calicut Forum for IT (CAFIT) in association with Government Cyberpark.

The three-day tournament was held at Town Beach, Kozhikode, with participation from 35 IT companies.

The tournament witnessed a high standard of play, with teams delivering professional performances.

In the men’s final, Cybrosys and IOCOD Infotech Pvt. Ltd. advanced after registering impressive performances in the earlier rounds. Batting first, Cybrosys posted 114 runs in the allotted eight overs, powered by Atul Raj’s 77 off 31 balls.

Chasing the target, IOCOD Infotech Pvt. Ltd secured victory with six balls to spare, scoring 120 runs for the loss of three wickets. Vidhu Prasad led the chase with a match-winning 65 off 21 balls,including nine sixes and a four, and was named Player of the Match. Sajan Basil of IOCOD Infotech Pvt. Ltd was adjudged Player of the Tournament.

In the women’s final, eSynergy faced Nuox Technologies. eSynergy set a competitive total of 60 runs without loss in six overs. In response, Nuox Technologies were restricted to 24 for four in six overs. Vismaya T.K. delivered an outstanding all-round performance, scoring 40

off 21 balls with six sixes and two fours, and claiming three wickets for just three runs in two overs. She was named Player of the Match and also won the Player of the Tournament award in the women’s category.

CAFIT President Rifaath Rahman, Secretary Prajeesh K.K, CPL Chairman Abdul Gafoor, Treasurer Nithin K.C., and other office-bearers attended the prize distribution ceremony.

The tournament drew large crowds across all three days, with a strong presence of supporters adding to the overall atmosphere.
