Calicut FC gear up for final group match in KPL, face Kerala Blasters FC

Kozhikode, April 27: Calicut FC are set to play their final group-stage match of the Kerala Premier League 2025–26 season. They will take on Kerala Blasters FC in a match scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00 PM at Thrissur Corporation Stadium. The team heads into the game with confidence after defeating group winners EMEA College 2–0 in their previous outing. Entry to the match is free.

Currently, Calicut FC sit second in the points table with three wins, one draw, and one loss from five matches. With their recent victory, the team had already secured qualification to the Super 8 stage. Kerala Blasters, meanwhile, are placed sixth in the group with one win, two draws, and two defeats from five matches.

Led by BB Thomas, Calicut FC will aim to secure all three points and finish the group stage in second place. Kerala Blasters come into this match after defeating second-placed Real Malabar in their previous game.

Calicut FC have scored eight goals in the group stage while conceding just two. Manoj-led side boasts one of the strongest defensive units in the league, having conceded the fewest goals across both groups so far.
