Technopark cricket tourney to begin on Apr 29

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 28 : The Technopark Premier League (TPL), the country’s largest IT-sector cricket tournament, and the Technopark Women’s Cricket League (TWCL) will begin at Technopark here on Wednesday.
TPL 2026 and TWCL 2026 are organised by Prathidhwani, the welfare and recreation forum of IT employees at Technopark.
A total of 174 teams are participating in the men’s category (TPL) while 24 teams will compete in the women’s category (TWCL) of the four-month-long 8-over-a-side tennis ball cricket tournament.
Prathidhwani is organising TPL 2026 in association with Favourite Homes.
Kerala cricketer N. P. Basil will inaugurate the tournaments at the Technopark Ground at 6 pm. QBurst was the winner in the men’s category of the last edition of TPL, while Infosys lifted the women’s trophy.
In the inaugural matches, QBurst will compete against Prathidhwani (Men’s) and Infosys will lock horns with Prathidhwani (Women’s).
In the exhibition matches, Influencers’ team will vie against Prathidhwani and Favourite Homes’ team will take on Prathidhwani.
Since its first edition in 2001, TPL has become the country's largest IT-sector sporting event due to the overwhelming participation of teams from IT companies in Technopark, India’s first IT Park.
