BRIC-RGCB invites applications for PhD Biotechnology programme

Thiruvananthapuram, April 20: Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB) has invited applications for admission to the PhD programme, beginning August 2026, in various domains of Biotechnology.
Candidates with a Post-graduate degree with a minimum of 60 percent marks and four-year Bachelor’s degree having a minimum of 75 percent marks or equivalent in the UGC 10-point scale in Life/Agricultural/Environmental/Veterinary/ Pharmaceutical/ Medical Sciences or allied subjects can apply.
The aspirants should also have a valid JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) of UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT fellowship for a period of five years offered by the government.
The candidate should be below 28 years of age as of the last date of the application submission. However, the upper age limit may be relaxed up to five years in the case of SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PwD)/female applicants and three years in the case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants. Reservation criteria will be applied as per GOI rules and regulations. The last date for submitting online applications is May 10, 2026.
