Infopark Football Tournament to kick off on April 24

Kochi, Apr 21: The Infopark Football Tournament, featuring IT employees from Infopark, will begin on Friday, April 24. This year’s matches will kick off with an opening ceremony at the Thrikkakara BMC Sports football turf.

The tournament is organised by Calpine Group in association with Infopark. The tournament aims to ease workplace stress in the IT sector while encouraging employees to showcase their football skills. Seven-a-side matches are arranged for men, while five-a-side matches are planned for women.

The total prize pool is approximately ₹3 lakh. The league stage, which is the first phase of the tournament, will be held from April 24 to May 9 at the Thrikkakara BMC Football Turf. Following the league stage, knockout matches will take place from May 14 to May 23 at the United Sports Centre near the Infopark Expressway.

Matches are scheduled on both weekdays and weekends from 6 pm to 10 pm.  Teams from various companies across Infopark’s Kochi Phase I and II, Thrissur, and Cherthala campuses will compete on the field.
