International Election Visitors’ Programme

As part of the International Election Visitors’ Programme (IEVP), a five-member foreign delegation will visit the state capital to observe the electoral process on April 9. IEVP is a flagship programme of the Election Commission of India (ECI) for international cooperation and engagement with the Election Management Bodies of other countries and international organizations. It provides a comprehensive overview of India’s electoral framework, institutional mechanisms, and operational architecture, while familiarising foreign EMB delegates with best practices and innovations in election management.
The delegation will visit Booth 104 at Cotton Hill LPS Vazhuthacaud for observing Mock poll at 6 am on April 9. They will call at the women-friendly Booth 188 at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom at 9 am. This will be followed by a visit to the model polling station 165 at Govt. Model GHSS Pattom, at 9.45 am. Later, the delegation will go to the Youth Booth 39 at Govt. Girls HSS Peroorkada at 11.30 am, besides visiting the Control Room at the Collectorate and interacting with the District Collector at noon.
