Kochi-Muziris Biennale To End On A High Note With Free Entry To Venues And A Concert by Parvaaz

Kochi, March 29: The Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF) has announced free entry for the public on Tuesday (31 March), marking the closing day of the sixth edition of the internationally acclaimed contemporary art exhibition.
Organisers said the initiative is intended to enable the public to witness the ceremonial flag-lowering (Kodiyirakkam) at 12 noon at Aspinwall House in Fort Kochi, which will mark the conclusion of the Biennale.
The sixth edition of the Biennale has drawn significant attention from art enthusiasts, critics, and visitors from across the globe, featuring works by leading contemporary artists alongside emerging voices. A total of 6.6 lakh visitors attended the Biennale.
Gates at all Biennale venues will close at 5:00 PM on March 31, 2026.
The evening programme will commence at 7:00 PM at Durbar Hall Ground, featuring official addresses and felicitations reflecting on the journey and impact of this edition.
Speakers at the closing-day programme will include Dr. Venu V, Chairperson of the KBF; Nikhil Chopra, Curator of the sixth edition; and Thomas Varghese, CEO of KBF.
The closing ceremony will be followed by a live concert by Parvaaz at 7:30 PM at Durbar Hall Ground. Entry is free for the public.
