Kochi Biennale Foundation announces closing day programmes for the 6th edition of Kochi-Muziris Biennale

Kochi, Mar 22: The Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF) has announced the Closing Day Programmes of the 6th edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, (KMB), scheduled for 31 March 2026. Marking the culmination of months of contemporary art exhibitions, dialogue, and public programmes, the day’s events will bring the Biennale’s sixth edition to an official close.

The day will begin with Kodiyirakkam (Ceremonial Lowering of the Flag) at 12:00 PM at Aspinwall House, symbolising the formal conclusion of the Biennale.

Please note that gates at all Biennale venues will close at 5:00 PM on 31 March 2026.

The evening programme will commence at 7:00 PM at Durbar Hall Ground, Ernakulam, featuring official addresses and felicitations reflecting on the journey and impact of this edition.

Dr. Venu V., Chairperson of the KBF, Jitish Kallat, the newly appointed President of KMB, Nikhil Chopra, Curator of the sixth edition of the KMB, and Thomas Varghese, CEO KBF, will speak at the closing-day programme.

The closing ceremony will be followed by a free live concert by Parvaaz at 7:30 PM.
