Techies Grandmaster Season 3 held at Infopark

Kochi, March 12: With the idea of taking a break from keyboards to the chessboard, Infopark and the Calpine Group jointly organised Techies Grandmaster Season 3 for technology professionals, bringing together chess enthusiasts from IT campuses.
Sachin Saju of Litmus7 emerged as the Chess Grandmaster of the tournament.
The competition was held at the Jyothirmaya Building, with more than 130 techies participating. Contestants represented companies from Infopark Kochi, Infopark Thrissur (Koratty) and SmartCity Kochi. Notably, the participants also included several FIDE-rated players, highlighting the competitive quality of the event.
At the award ceremony held after the competition, Pradeep Kumar V. P., Senior Manager – Business Development, Infopark, Jijo G. John -CEO of UVJ Technologies, Harish Menon and Renish M, Chess Arbitrators, presented the prizes.
All Top 20 ranked techies received cash prizes and medals in recognition of their performance.
In the final standings, Amresh S Kumar of Zero Pixels secured the Runner-up position. Dhananjay V P of IQVIA finished third, while Sourav Raj K K of Ignitarium Technologies secured the fourth position. They were presented with runner up trophies and cash prizes during the ceremony.
The Checkmate Queen title was awarded to Anju Maria Thomas of Strada Global.
