Kerala Tourism’s ‘Lenscape Kerala” photo exhibition begins at NGMA

Bengaluru, Feb 26: Kerala Tourism’s ‘‘Lenscape Kerala” Photo exhibition, featuring a curated collection of 100 images captured across Kerala by ten acclaimed photographers from different parts of India, opens at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) in the city on February 27.
Organised by NGMA in collaboration with Kerala Tourism, the show will run till March 1 from 11 am to 8 PM.
Kochi Biennale Foundation chairperson and former Kerala Chief Secretary Dr Venu V, IAS, will inaugurate the show in the presence of NGMA Director Priyanka Mary Francis, IAS, at 5 PM on February 27.
From portraits and lived-in cultures to sweeping landscapes, wildlife, and everyday moments, the exhibition brings together ten distinct visual voices to create one vibrant, contemporary portrait of the God’s Own Country.
Curated by renowned art critic Uma Nair and directed by award-winning photographer Balan Madhavan, Lenscape Kerala showcases Kerala through the lenses of H Satish, Shivang Mehta, Amit Pasricha, Saurabh Anand Chatterjee, Saibal Das, Umesh Gogna, Manoj Arora, Aishwarya Sridhar, Natasha Kartar Hemarajani, and Kounteya Sinha.
On February 28, a free photography masterclass by renowned photographers, Balan Madhavan, Natasha K. Hemrajani, H. Satish and Saurabh A. Chatterjee, is also being organised.
The 10-city travelling exhibition began on January 20 in New Delhi and it culminates in Kolkata on March 29. The show in cities of Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Pune and Mumbai have so far been concluded. After the Bengaluru leg, the show will travel to Chennai, Hyderabad and Surat before its culmination.
