Brigade Group accelerates Kerala expansion with landmark WTC and Brigade Square launch

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 12: Brigade Group conducted the foundation stone-laying ceremony along with Bhoomi puja for its flagship World Trade Center (WTC) at Technopark Phase I, Kazhakkottam, here on February 11 (Wednesday).

The WTC will consist of 20 floors, plus ground and four basements. Designed to serve as a global business hub, the WTC aims to enhance the local IT ecosystem and attract international investment to the capital.

Shri Seeram Sambasiva Rao, IAS, Special Secretary, Department of Electronics & IT, Govt. of Kerala, attended the ceremony and unveiled the plaque.

The company also inaugurated Brigade Square, a 1.85 lakh sq. ft. IT building located near Technopark’s Park Centre. The facility was inaugurated by Shri Sandip Kumar IAS, CEO of Technopark, in the presence of Shri M.R. Jaishankar, Executive Chairman of Brigade Enterprises Limited.

“The WTC will be an iconic building which will enhance Technopark’s ecosystem. We are also planning to expand in Infopark Kochi by adding another tower to the existing WTC, which will make it to a total one million sq feet of IT office space including the existing operational towers at WTC, Kochi," he added. 

Shri Sandip Kumar IAS, CEO of Technopark, said “The city has good connectivity and talent pool for companies to thrive and Technopark offers so many opportunities with availability of land and space. Moreover, new IT Policy will outline the incentives for the industry. Land shortage issue in Infopark Kochi can be sorted out with changes in policy.”

Shri Hrishikesh Nair, President of WTC, further detailed the Group’s roadmap, revealing plans for IT Infrastructure developments in Thiruvananthapuram creating a comprehensive environment for global companies to thrive in Kerala.

Former CEOs of Technopark Shri G Vijayaraghavan, Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd) and Shri S Ramnath; Shri Vineet Verma, MD, Aureya FM Services P. Limited (formerly WTC Trades & Projects Private Limited); Shri Roshin Mathew, Executive Director, Brigade Enterprises Limited; and Shri S N Raghuchandran Nair, President, TMA, were also present.
