CPI-M Leaders Brinda Karat, Prakash Karat Visit Kochi Muziris Biennale

Kochi, Feb 21: Senior CPI(M) leaders Brinda Karat and Prakash Karat visited the Kochi-Muziris Biennale and described the experience as “very, very educative and excellent.” “I was here during the last Biennale as well, and I find that this time we have really moved forward,” Brinda Karat said.
Congratulating the Kerala government on its “cultural vision,” she said the support extended to art has enabled KMB to become a dynamic platform for creative expression.
She observed that the Biennale offers visitors a vast and enriching experience, bringing together works by artists from across India alongside the international participants.
“Firstly, congratulations to the Kerala government for supporting this wonderful attempt and effort,” she said.
Brinda Karat also conveyed her appreciation to the organising committee and curator Nikhil Chopra for what she described as a “wonderful curation” and the seamless execution of the exhibition. Highlighting the coordination across multiple venues and numerous participating artists, she noted that an exhibition of such magnitude is unique in India and deserves wide recognition.
Several notable personalities were also present at the Biennale, including Renowned Gujarati Poet and visual artist Prabodh Parikh Ranjana Chopra, Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, as well as senior journalists Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy. They explored the exhibitions and engaged with the artworks on display.
