KBF Mourns Passing of German artist Henrike Naumann

Kochi / February 16, 2026

Kochi, Feb 16: The Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF) mourns the passing of Henrike Naumann, associated with Ghetto Biennale, and one of the most compelling German artists of her time, known for her immersive installations exploring the politics of design and everyday aesthetics.

The Museum of Trance, the work of Henrike Naumann along with Bastian Hagedorn is currently on view at St Andrews Parish Hall, Fort Kochi, as part of KBF Invitations programme presented by Ghetto Biennale.

The Museum of Trance, reflects on spirituality, rave culture, exoticism, and otherness. Centred on the church organ, a central instrument of worship ceremonies, the project incorporates soundtracks (with techno beats) from the legendary club Stammheim, which must have been heard during the church’s Sunday services.
