“Kerala, India’s Gateway for Global Business” is the state pavilion’s theme, aligning well with the theme of this edition of WEF- ‘A Spirit of Dialogue.’

“Kerala is the right place for responsible investment and for knowledge-based industries. We have consistently maintained our top position in ease of doing business and has become a fast-mover in industrial development,” Shri Rajeeve said, after opening the pavilion.
The state is focussing on responsible investment, particularly on 22 sectors and a set of mega sectors which include renewable energy, electronics, IT, medical devices manufacturing, tourism and new technologies, he said.
Based on the government’s transformative policies, the state is building its economic development on the firm ground set by outstanding achievements in social development including education and health care. Recently, Kerala also made history by eradicating extreme poverty, the Minister added.
Shri Yusuff Ali, billionaire and leading investor from the state, said the biggest asset of Kerala is its young generation, the educated, professional, intelligent and intellectual young boys and girls. Kerala is also number-one in tourism, besides health care and a lot of other attractive areas where big investments would be coming, he said.
