Rima Kallingal hails Kochi-Muziris Biennale as a ‘Haven for artists and audiences
Kochi / December 20, 2025
Kochi, Dec 20: Actress Rima Kallingal, after inaugurating the Biennale Kada at Aspinwall House on Thursday, said the Kochi-Muziris Biennale remains one of the most festive and eagerly awaited cultural events in the country.
“We are back at the Biennale once again, and it truly feels like one of the most sought-after cultural platforms. This is my third visit, and its absence during the years it did not take place was deeply felt. I am happy that it has returned, and with such energy,” she said.
Kallingal noted that she had only just arrived and was yet to view the artworks but expressed her intention to experience the Biennale at a slower, more immersive pace. “I plan to live in Fort Kochi and spend time with each artwork, each venue, and each artist,” she said.
Describing Kochi-Muziris Biennale as a space that belongs to everyone, she said she often found herself inviting people to the city as though it were her own home. “The Biennale is truly a haven for artists and audiences alike. It encourages us to look at life differently, more closely and more intimately,” she said.
Inviting the public to visit the Biennale, Kallingal said she was looking forward to the experience and urged everyone to explore the festival in its entirety.
