Milma makes strong presence at global dairy summit in Delhi

• Chairman, regional heads attend the meet

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 12:  Kerala Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation, one of India’s largest dairy networks known by its brand Milma, has made a strong presence at the four-day World Dairy Summit, organised by the International Dairy Federation (IDF), which began in New Delhi on Monday.

Milma delegation at the Summit, which has returned to India after 48 years, is led by its Chairman Shri KS Mani. The delegation includes Chairmen and Board members of its three Regional Unions and also top officials from the Federation and the Regional Unions.

Milma has also put up an attractive display pavilion that showcases its products, services and initiatives for the benefit of dairy farmers in Kerala.

“As the premier dairy co-operative operating in the home state of the Father of India’s White Revolution, late Dr Verghese Kurien, Milma has an active presence at the IDF summit.  The summit will have meaningful discussions that will contribute substantially to the growth of the dairy sector in the country, and the world over”, Shri Mani said.

An annual meeting of global dairy sector, over 1500 participants are attending the IDF summit in New Delhi. The participants include CEOs and senior employees of dairy processing companies, dairy farmers, representatives of suppliers to the dairy industry, academics, government representatives and technical professionals.

The World Dairy Summit that is a forum to share knowledge and ideas, and will deliberate on how the dairy sector can contribute to nourish the world with safe and sustainable dairying.
