Tourism Minister Shri PA Mohamed Riyas to switch on New Year Light show in city on Monday

Kozhikode, Dec. 21: Welcoming the joyous season of Christmas and New Year, Tourism Department will organise the light show in the city from December 22 to January 2.

Tourism Minister Shri PA Mohamed Riyas will switch on the light show under the theme ‘Illuminating Joy, Spreading Harmony’ at Mananchira Square at 7p.m on December 22 (Monday). MLA’s, officials of Tourism Department will attend the event.

One of the major attraction of the light show will be a Giant Dragon, a thematic centrepiece featuring a massive, intricately detailed red and gold dragon. This installation is designed to be reflected in the water, doubling its visual impact for evening spectators.

Another installation, ‘Tunnel of Lights, is designed as an immersive, high-arching walkway draped in thousands of blue lights, providing a seamless and brilliant "curtain of light" experience for the viewers.

Other illuminated installations includes crystal forest, tree area, interactive floral path way and geometric light sculptures, creating a vibrant and glowing environment that would bring cheer to the viewers.
