IT employees benefit best as RECCAA Club gets 2 pickleball courts

Kochi, Dec 19: Two state-of-the-art pickleball courts began functioning at the RECCAA Club, Kakkanad which has IT employees as majority of its members.

CIAL Managing Director S. Suhas IAS inaugurated the completely-indoor courts, amid the presence of Infopark-Cyberpark CEO Susanth Kurunthil among other dignitaries.

The court has its surface made of synthetic athletic cushioned system by Laykold, which is Australia’s largest court installation network of Grand Slam quality. The facility enables people of all ages to play without injury.

Three rows of gallary seating have been constructed near the court.

The 18-year-old RECCAA Club will continue to provide international- standard sports facilities, its president Jijo G. John said.

Kurunthil, who is CEO of Infopark as well as the Government Cyberpark in Kozhikode, highlighted the vitality of sports and recreation amid a stressful office life.

The others present at the ceremony included RECCAA Club Secretary Gijo K Joseph and Sports Secretary Thomas Mathew besides the club’s governing-body members Fazal Ali VM, Chil Prakash PG, Babu Varghese and Damodaran Namboothiri K.S.

The RECCAA Club was registered in 2007 by the alumni association of the National Institute of Technology, Kozhikode (formerly the Regional Engineering College). Later, it offered membership to those in the IT sector.
