KBF invites applications for workshop on Endometriosis

French artist-curator Nadia Russell Kissoon to conduct the workshop
Kochi / November 8, 2025

Kochi, Dec 8: The Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF) has invited applications for a one-day workshop, Finding your way through Endometriosis, which is facilitated by Nadia Russell Kissoon, a French artist and curator based in Bordeaux.

The workshop, to be held on December 15, has been initiated under the KBF’s ABC Art Room programme in Bastion Bungalow, Fort Kochi.

It will be conducted in two batches and is intended for women who are undergoing issues connected with endometriosis, a chronic, inflammatory, estrogen-dependent and systemic disease that affects an estimated one in 10 women worldwide and yet to find a cure.

The workshop, to be held from 10 am to 5 pm, includes an exclusive film screening. It is intended to facilitate the affected women participants to step into a safe, reflective space where their stories, challenges, and resilience take centre stage.

Those interested can send in applications via the Google Form on Instagram bio and website (kochimuzirisbiennale.org) at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe3XZl8xNUWCmznWLBeBTG_9B813h6BLHtQQ5udf-xgubSyOw/viewform?usp=dialog

Through guided self-description exercises and collective exploration, participants will investigate their lived experience with endometriosis—its obstacles, its uncertainties, and the quiet strength it demands. It will help trace entities that support well-being and those that threaten it and reorient and reclaim control over one’s body.

This workshop does not offer cures or medical solutions. Instead, it focuses on understanding lived reality, breaking isolation, and empowering oneself through collective learning and shared narratives.

The entry is free.
