Prathidhwani Sevens Football final at Technopark on Nov 27

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 26: The finals of ‘Raviz Prathidhwani Sevens-Season 8,’ the largest football tournament in the state's IT sector, organised by Prathidhwani, the welfare and recreation forum for IT employees at Technopark, will be held at Technopark on November 27.  

The Envestnet and H&R Block teams will vie for honours at the tournament finals, to be held at the Technopark Ground at 3.30 pm. Meanwhile, teams from Trenser and Infosys will lock horns for third place in the match scheduled at 2 pm on the same day.  

The tourney is organised in collaboration with Yoode Promotions and Raviz Hotels. ‘Raviz Prathidhwani Sevens-Season 8’ is a football tournament in a seven-a-side format. 

More than 2,500 IT employees and 101 teams from over 90 companies are participating in the tourney, comprising 164 matches.  

The winning team in the final will get a Rs 25,000 cash prize, an ever-rolling trophy and one-day accommodation at Raviz Ashtamudi Resort, Kollam. Besides, Raviz Hotels and Yoode Promotions will also sponsor additional prizes for the winners. There will be special prizes for the Best Player, Best Goalkeeper and the highest goal scorer of the tournament.  

In every match, Yoode and Sanchi Bags will give away the ‘Player of the Match’ trophy. The organisers have also created an opportunity for spectators to win prizes. 

The fifth season of the 5s (five-a-side) women's football tournament is also being held as part of the events. Around 14 teams, with 250-plus players from 14 companies, are taking part. The finals of the women's tourney will be held between Way.com and H&R Block on November 27 at 3 pm. The UST team will face the InApp team for third place. 

Popular Sevens football player Ashiq Usman and Asian gold medalist in Kabaddi Rosemary Presilla will be the chief guests at the finals where they will give away the trophies.
