Kochi / November 19, 2025
Kochi, Nov 19: Kerala-based ed-tech startup QBay Career has been selected for the Finnish government’s prestigious Sisu Launchpad 2025 accelerator program.
The recognition gives a fresh boost to QBay, built in the rural environs of Elettil Vatoli near Kozhikode, amid its four years of growth into a world-class startup. QBay became one of the top 20 startups selected from around the globe by the Government of Finland.
QBay founders Fazil Karatt and Dr Mohamed Shafeeq Karatt are in Helsinki to participate in one of Finland’s leading accelerator programs that support global startups entering the Nordic and EU markets.
QBay provides career guidance, job preparation and support throughout the process from application to interview for international students from the UK, Ireland and rest of Europe. The Karatts termed the recognition as “a proud achievement for the startup ecosystem” in Kerala.
The 2021-floated QBay Career is the only Indian startup selected for this program. Fazil, who arrived in Helsinki for the Sisu Launchpad, will also meet the President of Finland.
Fazil described QBay’s reaching the international platform as a “recognition” of Kerala’s entrepreneurial potential. “If QBay was able to reach the global market, we did it with the support of Kerala’s startup ecosystem,” he noted. “With this achievement, QBay is taking an important step in expanding its services to the European market.”
Sisu Launchpad 2025 is an accelerator program designed by Sisu Factor to help international startups from outside the European Union enter the European market, especially Finland. The program offers mentorship, investor connections and practical business training to help founders navigate the Finnish startup ecosystem. It provides startups with direct access to investors and opportunities in the European market.
KSUM is the nodal agency of the Kerala Government for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
