Industries Minister visits ‘i by Infopark’ co-working space

Kochi, Nov 8: Ten days after the inauguration of Infopark’s premium co-working space, Industries Minister P Rajeeve visited ‘i by Infopark’ in the Ernakulam South Metro Station building and expressed pleasure over its “world-class facilities”.
The Minister, who also holds the portfolios of Law of Coir, was accompanied today by Kochi Mayor M. Anilkumar. Also present were Infopark Deputy Vice-President Sreejith Chandran, Kochi Metro Chief Manager (Projects) Vinu C. Koshy, Additional General Manager Subrahmanya Iyer and Senior Deputy GM Umesh K.S., besides Infopark Deputy Vice-President Sreejith Chandran, Assistant General Manager Sajith N.G., Assistant Manager Anil M and their colleagues.
Infopark has developed the new facility in the working space given on lease by Kochi Metro for income from besides the tickets. Operating on seven floors from the third of the building, ‘i by Infopark’, which was inaugurated on October 28, occupies 48,000 square feet and houses 580-plus workstations. Each floor has a workspace of 6,530 square feet. The fourth floor is fully leased by IT firm Zoho.
The Minister noted that a direct entry provided from Ernakulam South Metro station to ‘i by Infopark’ will benefit both entrepreneurs and professionals. The facility has plug-and-play furnished offices, workstations, event space, training room, meeting room, conference room, lounge, collab area for collaborative discussions, phone booth and pantry.
There is direct access to ‘i by Infopark’ from Ernakulam South Metro Station. The co-working space is located in close proximity to Ernakulam Junction Railway Station, KSRTC bus-stand, arterial MG Road, Water Metro, Boat Jetty and Metro feeder bus service. It is an ideal multi-modal transit hub co-working space in South India, providing hassle-free access even by using public transport system.
This is the first neurodiversity-friendly co-working space in Kerala. The floors have been designed with to support individuals with conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD and dyslexia. Each floor has a specific focus on a particular sense. The third floor has special wallpapers and tiles focused on ‘sight’. The fourth floor is based on ‘taste’; the fifth on ‘smell’. The sixth floor is based on ‘touch’; the remaining three floors on ‘hearing’.
As an ideal location for freelancers, gig workers, multinational companies, IT/IT affiliates and global capability centers, ‘i by Infopark’ will become a major attraction for businesses looking for premium workspace in Kochi. The IT department also has plans to expand similar centres across the state.
