Milma extends timing of stalls, outlets on Sept. 6 and 7 to meet Onam demand

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 05: In view of the rise in demand for milk and other products of Milma during Onam days, the Thiruvananthapuram Regional Cooperative Milk Producers Union of Milma (TRCMPU-Milma) will keep open its direct outlets and agency-run stalls in prime locations in four southern districts from 5 am to 11 pm on September 6 and 7 (Pooradam and Uthradom days).

TRCMPU Administrative Committee Convenor Shri N Bhasurangan, said elaborate arrangements have been made for uninterrupted supply of Mima’s products to meet the consumers’ demand and hold the open market price in line.

He said 50 agency-run outlets in Thiruvananthapuram, 20 in Kollam, 18 in Pathanamthitta and 15 in Alappuzha have been instructed to follow this timing.  These outlets will also be illuminated, giving them a festive touch.

TRCMPU Managing Director Shri DS Konda, said TRCMPU has introduced various sales promotion schemes during Onam for the benefit of consumers, dairy farmers, agencies and distributors.

He said a record sale of milk, curd, ghee and palada is expected this year and TRCMPU is giving back 85 percent of profit to dairy farmers.
