Biennale Run-up: Talks on ‘Creolization’ at Irinjalakuda

Thrissur, Nov 5: The Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF) is organising two talks, with focus on hybrid languages from lingua-cultural mixing, at Irinjalakuda in the district on Friday.
Two experts will talk on ‘creolization’ at the November 7 event in Christ College in the town ahead of the sixth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (KMB) beginning on December12.
Illustrator-writer Bony Thomas, one of the founding members and trustee at the KBF, will talk on ‘Kochi: A Cultural Creole’, while Malayalam scholar Dr C. Adarsh will speak on ‘Muziris: A Cultural Creole’.
The event, slated to start at 10 a.m., is being organised by Malayalam and History Departments of 1956-founded Christ College, 22 km south of the city.
KMB-6 has its artworks curated by Nikhil Chopra with HH Art Spaces, Goa. The show will be on till March 31, 2026. The KBF is a 2010-registered non-profit charitable trust.
