Kadambrayar Ecotourism project gets Rs. 3.5 crore
Kochi / November 1, 2025
Kochi, Nov 1: The state government has given administrative sanction of Rs. 3.5 crores for the renovation and maintenance of the Kadambrayar ecotourism project in Ernakulam district.
This was one of the tourism projects proposed during the Nava Kerala Sadas.
Tourism and Public Works Minister Shri P. A. Mohammed Riyas said the project will transform Kadambrayar into a destination of international standards, facilitating people to spend their evenings away from the bustle of the city.
It is also significant that Kadambrayar, in scenic Kizhakkambalam, is located close to the state’s vibrant IT ecosystem, the Minister noted. The project will have greater potential to attract visitors with the completion of Infopark Phase-3 in Kakkanad, which is barely six km northwest of Kadambrayar. “Keeping this in mind, the Tourism Department has given the approval,” he added.
The main works include protective walls, pavement renovation, bridge repairs and painting, landscaping works, construction of a new restaurant and plumbing works. In addition, the administrative approval of Rs. 3.5 crores has been given for including items such as works on air-conditioning and electrification, besides expenses for publicity.
