Biennale a space to challenge art market narratives: Nikhil Chopra

Bengaluru, Oct 28: Friendship economies have changed to build trusting relationships across domains, both social and practice, according to Nikhil Chopra, curator of the upcoming Kochi-Muziris Biennale (KMB).
At a session organised in the city by Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF), Nikhil discussed the role of the Biennale as a space to challenge dominant narratives imposed by the art market. Addressing the ‘Let’s Talk’ gathering at National Gallery of Modern Art on Saturday, he expressed excitement about the upcoming edition of the KMB.
Poet-journalist Joshua Muyiwa moderated the hour-long conversation.
KMB president Bose Krishnamachari, in his introduction, delved into the sixth edition of the KMB commencing on 12 December and running through 31 March 2026.
