Travel lit fest a pioneering initiative in tourism sector: Minister V Sivankutty

Varkala (Kerala),Oct. 19: India’s first travel literary festival Yaanam 2025, organised by Kerala Tourism, is a pioneering initiative to celebrate travel and promote tourism in a sustainable and inclusive fashion, Minister for General Education and Labour Shri V Sivankutty said today.
Addressing the gathering at the event here, Shri Sivankutty said “this is grand beginning and the subsequent editions of the event could be grander. This is a proud moment for Kerala Tourism, for bringing together travel writers, social media influencers and artists to share their experience. Events like this also help showcase in clear perspective the experiential tourism for which Kerala is renowned,” the Minister said.
Shri V Joy, MLA, was present.Shri Sabin Iqbal, the Festival Director, presented the festival book to the minister.
Organised by Kerala Tourism at Ranga Kala Kendram at the Cliff here, the October 17-19 festival has brought together leading travel writers, vloggers and social media influencers from around the world, setting the stage for them to share their insights and perspectives on sustainable and inclusive tourism to meet the demands of the present day travelers.
‘Celebrating Words and Wanderlust’ is the theme of the three-day festival.
