SLK 2025: Calicut FC to take on Thrissur Magic FC on Saturday night

Kozhikode, Oct 10: In an exciting encounter, defending champion Calicut FC will take on Thrissur Magic FC in the second Super League Kerala (SLK) football tournament here tomorrow, seeking to notch a win against that team it could not defeat in the inaugural season.

The match will begin at 7.30 pm at the EMS Corporation Stadium.

Calicut FC, currently joint leaders on the points table with Kannur Warriors and Malappuram FC (each with 3 points), will be aiming to display their footballing dexterity to secure a decisive win this time.

In the first match that kicked off the SLK 2025 on October 2, Calicut FC defeated a fighting Forca Kochi FC 2-1. Incidentally, the score line was a repeat of last year’s final between these two teams.

In the inaugural season in 2024, Thrissur Magic FC was the only team that Calicut FC could not defeat. The two sides met twice: the first match ended in a draw, while Thrissur edged past Calicut in the return leg at Malappuram.
