KSUM calls for full use of creative economy tech sector

Fab Academy holds graduation ceremony
Kochi / October 4, 2025

Kochi, Oct 4: Kerala’s tech workers should strive to reap the benefits of the state as the world's fastest-growing creative economy, Kerala Startup Mission CEO Anoop Ambika said today.

Unlike earlier, when technology workers and the creative community engaged in opposing poles, today’s creativity sector engages them in a single domain, he pointed out, speaking at the 2025 graduation ceremony of Fab Lab at the Kerala Startup Mission campus in Kalamassery. Integrating advanced technology into creativity has led to the emergence of endless possibilities in both sectors, he added.

“The value of this sector is 200 billion dollars,” the CEO said, calling upon Fab graduates to make the best use of it.

The graduates from Fab Lab this year were Ebin Mathew, Akash Edamana, Ancy Roshan, Ashish Joy, Namita Aravind, Noel Saji and Revi Shankar S.

Fab Lab Kerala is a flagship initiative of the Kerala Startup Mission to promote digital fabrication technology and maker culture in the state. The labs are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including 3D printers, laser cutters and other advanced manufacturing equipment.

It is a platform for students, entrepreneurs and researchers to transform their ideas into practical products. Fab Lab Kerala plays a vital role in strengthening Kerala's knowledge economy and fostering a technology-driven society.

Fab Academy has started admissions for 2026. For more information, visit https://fabacademy.fablabkerala.in/.
