Trivandrum Management Association receives AIMA’s award for best regional association

Trivandrum / September 11, 2025

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 11: Trivandrum Management Association (TMA) received the prestigious award for the best regional management association in India instituted by the All India Management Association (AIMA), for the year 2024-2025.

TMA Secretary Shri Unnikrishnan Gopinath received the award from Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla, former Foreign Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP, at the 52nd National Management Convention held at Taj Palace in New Delhi on September 10.

TMA was chosen unanimously as the winner in the “Best LMA - Category IV for 2024-2025” after a rigorous selection process conducted by a jury led by Shri Shrinivas Dempo, past president of the AIMA and chairman of the Dempo Group of Companies.

The recognition distinguishes TMA among a network of 68 local management associations (LMAs) affiliated with AIMA, established to assist professional managers in navigating the complexities of today's rapidly evolving business landscape. Over the past five decades, the activities of LMAs have expanded significantly, with most associations developing a strong administrative foundation to support their initiatives.

These activities encompass a diverse range of offerings, including seminars, expert lectures, interactive group discussions, comprehensive management training programmes, large-scale conventions, and publications.

AIMA instituted the Best LMA Award in 1988-89 to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of the LMAs toward fostering institutional excellence and to motivate them to elevate their activities within their communities.

The primary objective of the award is to promote the growth of LMAs, which in turn drive the advancement and development of respective industries in regions they operate. This annual award aims to showcase innovative practices and significant achievements of participating LMAs.

To facilitate a fair and structured competition, all participating LMAs are categorised into four distinct groups based on electoral votes and their years of establishment, ensuring that the award recognises excellence across an array of associations.
