Three-day drone light show to sparkle Onam fete

Sept 5-7 sky spectacle to be held at University Stadium

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept.04: The evening skies in the capital city will sparkle in a visual spectacle as a fleet of around thousand drones will create a light show during the Onam Week Celebrations from Thiruvonam, adding a double delight for tourists and public.

The three-day drone light show will be conducted 250 feet above the University Stadium here from 8.45 pm to 9.15 pm from September 5. Tourists and public can see the mesmerising visual spectacle in and around the stadium. 

This is for the first time that such a drone light show featuring 1000 drones is being held in the capital city. 

Global leading drone technology company BotLab Dynamics, which has set the record of hosting India’s largest drone light show with 1,000 drones at Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 29, 2022 for the Beating Retreat ceremony, will orchestrate the September 5-7 event.

Specially designed drones with LED lights will be used for the drone light show that will last around 20 minutes.
