Kochi / July 26, 2025
Kochi, July 26: Ranging from homemakers to students, the idea pitching competition exclusively for women at the first-ever Kerala Innovation Festival (KIF 2025) today brimmed with their riveting ideas that address women’s problems.
The idea pitching competition, ‘We Pitch,’ saw participation of 33 women/girls, including professionals, homemakers, students and freelancers, at the July 25-26 event, organized by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) at its Digital Hub at Kalamassery.
The participants with an innovative idea for building a venture pitched their products/solutions that are in idea stage. Most of them presented ideas meant to solve issues that affect women in society. The preference in the pitching session was given totechnology and innovation-integrated ideas.
Experts in the panelists provided instant guidance to participants on how to improve their startup ideas and pitching during the ‘We Pitch’ session. Top 10-15 ideas will be selected for a three-month pre-incubation programme of KSUM, supporting them to convert their ideas to Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
Two different panels consisting of six domain experts evaluated the ideas of women at the competition. The winners will be announced later.
The two-day KIF 2025saw an overwhelming confluence of entrepreneurs, investors, students, policymakers and creative talents. It also featured more than 100 product exhibitions, cutting-edge technology demonstrations and working models from various sectors, besides summits such as She Leads, Sustainable Development and Gen AI for All.
