Innovative HR practices the need of future: NASSCOM seminar at Govt Cyberpark

Kozhikode, July 19: Extensive recruitment of new-generation employees merits innovative HR practices in the IT sector, experts said at a seminar today.

 HR in the future needs to be transformed from day-to-day operations to one that influences growth, Averna HR Head Sumi Nair told the event jointly organized by Government Cyberpark and NASSCOM in the city.

 “For such a change, we must pool in insights from various international studies such as Gartner, Deloitte and McKinsey,” Nair said at the session on ‘Future Proofing HR, Mindset, Metrics and Meaning’, where speakers shared diverse perspectives on meeting the demands of the ever-changing workplace.

 The seminar, while highlighting the need to identify talent and skills to achieve business goals, underscored the necessity for studies to make workplaces meaningful. This will make the HR sector not just important, but indispensable, they added.

 NASSCOM Regional Head M S Sujith Unni was also present. Employees and representatives from various companies in the Government Cyberpark participated.

 From strategic mindset shifts to meaningful metrics, the speakers called for empowering HR professionals with tools to build resilient and future-ready teams.

 In a thought-provoking session ‘Future-Proofing HR: Mindset, Metrics & Meaning, HR leaders and CEOs from small to mid-sized companies explored how on ways to take HR beyond operations to become a growth driver. Backed by insights from global research, the session introduced actionable strategies to align talent with business goals, adopt impact-driven metrics, and embed purpose into people practices.
