Arts festivals an opportunity to maintain vitality: Dileesh Pothen at Tarang-3

Kochi / July 11, 2025

Kochi, July 11: Participating in art competitions after one’s educational period can boost youthful vitality, more so after a gap, actor-filmmaker Dileesh Pothan said.

“There is nothing more confidence-boosting than competing in art competitions,” he said at the award ceremony of the All Kerala Techies Arts Festival ‘Tarang Season 3’ at Infopark on Thursday evening, recalling his past as a techie for a brief period.

Held this summer in April-May, Tarang was organized by Progressive Techies, an organization of IT employees in the state, in collaboration with Infopark.

Infopark CEO Susanth Kurunthil, who was the chief guest at the event in Kakkanad, said the IT complex has “always had a good relationship” with Progressive Techies. “Within a year, we’ll be adding more facilities for our employees at Infopark,” he added.

Ernakulam District Assistant Collector Parvathy Gopakumar lauded Infopark in its efforts to bring out creative talent among people in an era of increasing mental stress related to workload.

Present at the ceremony were Progressive Techies State President Anish Panthalani, besides the sponsors of Tarang-3.

The competitions were held in 100-plus categories, with more than 6,000 contestants from over 300 companies.
