Kochi / July 3, 2025
Kochi, July 3: Infopark, for the third consecutive year, won commendation from the Department of Direct Taxes and Customs under the Union Finance Ministry for its “excellent performance” in the 2024-25 payment of GST (goods and services tax).
The letter of appreciation, which the central government awards to taxpayers with the best track record, was instituted in 2021 on the fourth anniversary of the implementation of GST in the country. Since its inception, the annual honour has gone to Infopark without break.
Infopark CEO Susanth Kurunthil said the honour has been the result of the management’s “keen attention” to GST-related matters. “Such measures are a motivation for taxpayers,” he added.
The country has Rs 66 crore GST returns filed every year. Out of this, those eligible for the commendation letter are selected based on various criteria. The initiative has been launched with the aim of directly communicating with the taxpayers and inspiring more people by appreciating their contribution to “substantially contributing to building a strong and resilient nation”, according to the Finance Ministry.
