Police Commissioner sings; Anti-Drug Day celebrated in Infopark

Kochi, June 26: Infopark hosted a range of programmes as part of its Anti-Drug Day celebrations today, featuring a rally by students from eight schools and a selfie-point by Pearlsoft Technologies, while a song by a senior police official added to the festivities.
Thrikkakara Assistant Commissioner of Police Shiju P.S. rendered the ditty Melle Melle Mukhapadam from the 1987 movie ‘Oru Minnaminunginte Nurunguvettam’, earning thunderous applause from the audience at the inaugural ceremony in Athulya auditorium,
ACP Shiju, in his address, called upon children to earn the courage and determination to say ‘no’ even to close friends who may encourage them to do wrong things.
At the Park Centre, which is the administrative hub of IT complex in suburban Kakkanad, the employees took an anti-drug pledge in the presence of Infopark CEO Susanth Kurunthil.
There was also an anti-drug rally from the Athulya building up to the Infopark police station. Infopark Assistant Manager Sajith NG administered the anti-drug pledge at the conclusion of the rally, which was organised by Infopark police station along with the Progressive Techies — a socio-cultural and welfare organisation of IT employees in the state. Present at the function were Police SHO Sajeev Kumar JS and Progressive Techies President Anish Panthalani. The students were from Thengode Government High School, Sanskara, Gems Modern Academy, Rajagiri, St. Johannes International, Indian Public School, Mar Thoma Public School and Kochi Business School.
Infopark-based Software developer Pearlsoft Technologies' special selfie point with an anti-drug message attracted the gathering.
