Palakkad Guest House Renovation: Govt sanctions Rs 4.64 cr

Palakkad, June 26: The Tourism Department has sanctioned Rs 4,64,75,000 for the renovation of the government guesthouse adjacent to the civil station in the city.

The work is to be completed within 18 months, according to an order by the State Tourism Department.

Tourism and Public Works Minister Shri P. A. Mohamed Riyas said “ the renovation will particularly  be helpful for those visiting destinations such as Malampuzha and Kollengode.”

“Besides providing high-quality accommodation facilities to the common people at a low cost, it will also bring additional revenue to the exchequer,” the Minister added.

Indigo Architects has prepared the estimate for the renovation and will be carrying out the works.
